Catherine Tang, DDS

Dr. Cat is thrilled to join the Spots for Smiles team! Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, she stayed close to home to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Washington. She then traded the Pacific Northwest for sunny California attend dental school at the UC San Francisco. UCSF holds a special place in her heart, as it’s where she met her husband, Steven! following graduation, the couple headed up to Sacramento to begin their careers. Dr. Cat has dedicated most of her career to children’s dentistry, spending the last several years working in community health and caring for underserved kiddos all across the greater Sacramento area.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Cat’s life is beautifully busy. She has two sweet daughters, 4 year old Michaela and 1.5 year old Julianne, who keep the household full of laughter and happy chaos—along with their 7 year old Siberian Husky, Neko! When she catches a quiet moment, Dr. Cat loves diving into her creative hobbies. She is a total coffee and matcha enthusiast, whether she's experimenting with espresso at home or scouting out new local cafes. You can also find her painting ceramics, practicing at-home gel manicures, or whipping up delicious sweet treats in the kitchen.
